Plana

An AI-powered planning app that shows the real cost of a trip, wedding, graduation or party before you spend. It breaks the budget down by category, helps you save toward the goal, and connects you to real service providers. It runs on Africa's Talking SMS and USSD APIs, so it works on any phone, even without internet. We built it overnight as a team of four (Josephine, Julian, Patricia and me), and I developed the backend and frontend. Plana won 1st Runners Up at the Africa's Talking Women in Tech Hackathon in Kampala.
